Bertrand Monthubert is president of Ekitia (formerly Occitanie Data), an association in the process of being transformed into a national GIP, bringing together some sixty public, private, and academic players who wish to create a framework of trust for the data economy. He is also president of OPenIG, the regional platform of Occitania for geographic information, and president of the National Council of Geolocalized Information, which organizes the coordination and accompanies the evolution of geolocalized information in France.
He is also one of the French experts within the Global Partnership for Artificial Intelligence (PMIA/GPAI), participating in the working group on data governance.
Professor of mathematics at the University of Toulouse-3, of which he was the president, he coordinates the national program Aspie-Friendly for the inclusion of autistic students at the university.
